Hope in Nine Elms

This initiative works to encourage the local community to explore and express their hopes and dreams for their own lives, the community, and the wider world.

After a successful live installation event at the Nine Elms Pavilion on the Thames Riverwalk in 2019, the project moved online during the pandemic, with over 100 local residents from toddlers to professional artists – creating ‘Hope Squares’ to display in their windows which were also shared across Nine Elms social media.

NEAM also worked with the Battersea Power Station Community Choir to collaboratively write and record a brand-new Hope anthem ‘Hope is to Heal’. An animated music video was created for the son incorporating the Hope Squares.

‘Hope is to Heal’ is to be premiered live at the Jubilee Torch event at Battersea Power Station on 2nd June.
